Elvan Gıda made a giant investment in the 100th anniversary of our Republic. The Horasan & Tortum SPP Project, which transforms the power of nature into energy, went down in history as Turkey's largest solar power plant project completed in the shortest time. The power plants, established on a total area of 535,000 square meters in Horasan and Tortum districts, became operational in a record time of 3 months and were put into the service of our country, nation and humanity with the presence of Mr. Hidayet Kadiroğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
With this investment, Elvan Gıda became the first Turkish food company to meet all of its energy needs from renewable energy.
The electricity generated from Elvan Gıda's solar power plants will meet the energy consumption of 17 thousand households for 1 year.The project will also make significant contributions to the environment.With the commissioning of the power plant, 30,800 tons of greenhouse gas emissions will be prevented annually. This will prevent the cutting down of approximately 17 thousand trees.Elvan Gıda will continue to contribute to the economy of our country with its nature-friendly flavors produced with love and care.
